Never feel helpless choosing a wine again.

Wines by the Class was designed to create a forum for people to learn about wine in a fun, informative, and relaxed atmosphere. Our mission is to help you discover many of the different wines that are available to you, but also to help you determine your preferences. Figuring out what you like is what will make you a better consumer – no more wandering around the wine store choosing wines based on the attractiveness of the label, no more wasting money on a wine you know nothing about. Our classes offer practical information on many styles and varieties of wine, as well as practical tips on reading wine labels and navigating the state liquor store system. Wines by the Class will enable you to purchase wine wisely, whether buying for a special occasion or just for casual consumption, in both the wine store and at the restaurant table. Our goal is to make you a better consumer. Literally.

Meet the Expert

Wines by the Class was started almost 15 years ago as a fun and inviting way to share wine knowledge.

  • Founder, Wine Expert

Lucy Rogers has been in the food and beverage industry longer than she cares to admit. Her career has taken her from San Francisco to New York to Chicago and now Centre County, where she has been living for the past 18 years. As Managing Director of Club Wine International, Lucy's wine education was fast-tracked and she has never looked back. Even as Tasting Room Manager at Big Spring Spirits, she spends a fair amount of free time reading about, exploring --and tasting--wine. With her straight-forward approach to wine (and life!), Lucy loves to help people navigate the often overwhelming wine world to find the wines that they really love.
